Terms of sale

These terms apply to the “Vitrine Pro” subscription offered to venues listed in the guide, and to voluntary “Buy me a coffee” contributions. In short: €9 per month, no commitment, cancel anytime with a simple email. The French version of these terms is the legally binding one.

1. Purpose and seller

These terms of sale govern the purchase and use of the Vitrine Pro subscription (the “Subscription”) sold on the Local good spots website by:

The Subscription is intended for businesses: the person subscribing (the “Manager”) confirms they are acting for the business of the venue concerned and are authorised to represent it. Subscribing means accepting these terms in full; the current version is always available on this page.

2. What's included

For the venue concerned, and for as long as it runs, the Subscription includes:

  • a featured spot in the “Our sponsored spots” carousel, labelled “Sponsored”;
  • the manager area, where the listing can be edited directly: description, address, contact email, main and secondary photos, signature products, amenities and award (“Award-winning” badge);
  • linking the listing to the Manager's Google account, which is the only account allowed to edit it.

The “Sponsored” label is required by French law for any commercial communication (article 20 of law no. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004) and cannot be removed. The Subscription does not change the order of listings in lists, guides or on the map, and does not guarantee any number of visits, clicks or customers. Being listed in the guide remains free and does not depend on a subscription.

3. Subscribing

You subscribe from the venue's page, after signing in with a Google account, then on Stripe's secure checkout page. Only one subscription can be active per venue. The Subscription starts as soon as Stripe confirms the payment; a receipt is sent to the Manager's email address.

4. Price and payment

  • The price is €9 per month, with no VAT added: VAT not applicable under article 293 B of the French General Tax Code. The applicable price is the one shown on the checkout page when subscribing.
  • Payment is made by card, through Stripe, in advance for each one-month period, on the anniversary date of the subscription. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and never pass through our servers.
  • Any price change is announced by email at least 30 days before it applies. A Manager who does not accept it may cancel before that date at no cost.

5. Term, no commitment and cancellation

  • The Subscription runs for one month and renews automatically every month, with no minimum commitment.
  • The Manager may cancel at any time by writing to benoithavet@hblabstudio.fr from their account's email address and naming the venue concerned. Cancellation is confirmed by email.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly period: no further payment is taken, and the benefits stay active until that date.
  • Once the Subscription ends, the listing stays in the guide as a free listing, without the “Sponsored” label or access to the manager area. The Manager may ask for the photos and texts they provided to be removed.

6. Withdrawal and refunds

As the Subscription is purchased by a business for its business purposes, the consumer right of withdrawal does not apply. Any month started is due and is not refunded pro rata. A refund is however granted for a billing error, a duplicate payment, or if the offer is unavailable through our fault for more than 7 consecutive days (pro rata for the period concerned). Requests should be sent to benoithavet@hblabstudio.fr.

7. Failed payments

If a payment fails, the benefits of the offer are suspended immediately. Stripe retries the payment: as soon as a retry succeeds, the benefits are restored automatically. If every retry fails, the Subscription ends.

8. Content provided by the Manager

  • The Manager is responsible for the information, texts and photos they publish. They guarantee that this content is accurate, that they hold the necessary rights (in particular to the photos and to the image of any people shown), and that it is not unlawful, misleading or in breach of third-party rights.
  • The “Award-winning” badge is reserved for venues that have actually received the award stated.
  • The Manager grants the publisher, free of charge and for as long as the content is displayed, a non-exclusive worldwide right to reproduce and display it on the website.
  • The publisher may refuse, re-present or remove non-compliant content. In the event of a serious or repeated breach, it may suspend or terminate the Subscription after an email warning that has gone unheeded for 8 days, or immediately for manifestly unlawful content. No refund is due in that case.

9. Editorial independence

The Subscription buys visibility, not an opinion. Editorial texts, the selection in the guides and any assessment by the publisher remain independent and cannot be bought.

10. Availability and liability

The publisher makes its best efforts to keep the website and the manager area available, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access (maintenance, a provider's outage, force majeure). Its liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damage, capped at the amounts paid by the Manager over the previous 12 months. It does not cover indirect losses such as lost revenue or customers.

11. “Buy me a coffee” contributions

The “Support” and “Buy me a coffee” buttons let any visitor support the website with a one-off payment through Stripe, of any amount they choose. It is a voluntary contribution, with nothing in return and no subscription. It is not refundable, except for an obvious error (wrong amount, duplicate payment) reported to benoithavet@hblabstudio.fr within 30 days.

12. Personal data

The data needed for the Subscription (email, Google account, payment reference and status) is processed in accordance with the privacy policy included in the website's legal notice.

13. Changes to these terms

The publisher may update these terms. Current subscribers are notified by email at least 30 days before a change that affects them takes effect, and may cancel at no cost before that date.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If there is a problem, please write to benoithavet@hblabstudio.fr first: we will look for an amicable solution within 30 days. Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent French courts. The French version of these terms prevails.
